About Me
I graduated the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Physics and a Capstone Minor in Secondary Education through the teachHOUSTON program. I am a licensed Texas educator with certification in Mathematics, Physics, GT, and AP. I have been teaching physics in Fort Bend ISD since January 2014. I was also an original curriculum writer for the AP Physics 1/AP Physics 2 courses in the district when the courses were first created by College Board in August 2015. I have led several professional development sessions in our district on providing our students enriching laboratory experiences and have created a great rapport with the FBISD faculty and student body.
Since then, I have acquired my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and have been designated as the Physics Department Lead Instructor at Clements High School. In this role, I maintain communication between other physics educators in the district as we share instructional ideas and resources. I also have experience grading AP Physics exams for College Board over the summer and have acquired a deep understanding of the intricacies College Board looks for in their AP Physics Exams.
I have also been nominated as a Clements Teacher of the Year finalist every year from 2017-2021. I am passionate about teaching physics to our youth and want to provide the best possible future for our students!
